2019 Iowa Recognition for Performance Excellence Honors Role-Model Organizations

Cedar Rapids, Iowa- December 23, 2019 The Iowa Recognition for Performance Excellence (IRPE) Judges and the Iowa Quality Center (IQC) Board of Directors proudly announce recipients of the 2019 Iowa Recognition for Performance Achievements.

The Iowa Recognition for Performance Excellence is Iowa’s National Baldrige-based process designed to recognize role model organizations in education, manufacturing, nonprofit, healthcare and business. 

“The purpose of the IRPE is to recognize organizations that are on the journey of excellence, desire feedback against a criteria that reflects what world-class organizations do – the Baldrige criteria,” said IQC Executive Director Scott Burgmeyer. “to be on the excellence journey and make the commitment to submit an application and about 1500 hours of assessment by expert examiners reflects the level of commitment these organizations.

The Iowa Performance Excellence (iPEX) Conference will recognize the following applicants at the annual conference in May 2020:

ChildServe improves the health and well-being of nearly 4,600 children in Iowa each year. As a specialty pediatric healthcare organization, ChildServe utilizes a multidisciplinary team of experts to identify and meet the unique needs of children with developmental delays, disabilities, injuries and other special healthcare needs. ChildServe is CARF-accredited with specialties in pediatrics, autism, and brain injury. The Des Moines Register named ChildServe to its Top Workplaces in Iowa list for the sixth consecutive year in 2019. The Iowa Quality Center (IQC) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was established more than 20 years ago as a result of a collaboration between Kirkwood Community College and Grant Wood AEA (Woods Quality Center).  IQC works to be a catalyst to transform individuals and organizations from good to great to excellent.  IQC networking groups, consultation, and membership activities take place throughout the state.
