Lean Six Sigma Network – September
Sept. 10, Cedar Rapids – The Science of Human Factors
“To err is human.” Most of us have heard this phrase by the English poet Alexander Pope sometime in our life.
Have you ever been involved in a root cause analysis where the cause of a defect was identified as human error? Can we fix human error?
The science of human factors deals with human physical, mental and perceptual capabilities, and is important to consider in the study of work and design of work environments. Please join us for a discussion about human factors and how we can help ourselves to keep from making mistakes.

The Lean Six Sigma network’s purpose is to create an opportunity for those that practice Lean, Six Sigma and other improvement philosophies to share their knowledge; and for those that are considering the methodologies to learn through questioning and relationships with practitioners.
