Lean Six Sigma Learning Network
Jun. 5 – Theory of Constraints: Real change leading to real results – – Have you attempted positive change that just didn’t work at all? Created positive change and it worked for a short time, but then people slipped back into old ways? Tried a solution that made sense, but it didn’t produce the financial benefits that you thought it would? Had a hard time getting your people to believe in your solutions or have faith that they will work? If you have ever felt any – or many of the above, you’re not alone and Theory of Constraints (TOC) would have been your best friend. TOC is a logic-based approach to looking at business. It is scalable. It can be used to assess an entire organization, a department or business function, a group of divisions, etc. Whether a project is small or large, TOC offers a starting point to ensure that time is not wasted working on the wrong elements. This tool is an eye opener and people comment that use of TOC provided them with a feeling of “finally, we are getting to the real solutions.” Join Matt Cable, owner of Aligned, in a fascinating discussion on how to make TOC work for your organization.
