Leading Projects for Non-Project Managers
Jan. 23, Cedar Rapids
We all are assigned projects or work that we need to collaborate with others on. Research shows that few people have training or experience to guide them to work together effectively on a project to ensure the desired outcome is achieved. During this training, you’ll develop an understanding of essential terminology, tools, and techniques to increase your effectiveness in planning and executing projects.
Key Learning Outcomes
- The importance of using a framework vs “winging it”
- Key project management terms
- Phases of projects
- Understand the importance of being formally informal (templates, consistent process, etc)
- Apply the stages of a project and the tools that can be used in the different phases
