IRPE Tiers
Our goal is to deliver value and improve performance excellence across the State of Iowa through use of the Baldrige Criteria. The IRPE application tiers and pricing for 4Q 2018-2019 is below.

Process Summary:
- Free Examiner could be new or returning.
- Tier’s 1, 2 & 3 can apply any time during the year.
- Applicant pays for site-visit hotels directly.
- Invoice will be sent upon receipt of eligibility form with 50% due in 30 days and remaining 50% due in 90 days from invoice date.
Eligibility:
- The applicant must have employees in Iowa.
- The applicant must have been located in Iowa for at least one year.
- Ownership outside of Iowa does not restrict eligibility for the IRPE.
- Submission of a Baldrige application in the same year does not restrict eligibility for the IRPE.
- Organizations achieving IRPE Gold Level Recognition are ineligible to receive an award in the next three years. These organizations may, however submit an application to receive a feedback report as part of their continuing journey toward performance excellence.
- Sub-units, buildings and departments may apply (e.g. High School only, Orthopedic Clinic, West Des Moines location only).
Key Dates:
- Tier 4 eligibility due June 7
- Examiner Applications due July 1
- Tier 4 applications due Aug 2
- Examiner Training Aug 6 & 7 (new examiners must attend 2 days, returning 1 day)
- Consensus Week Sept 16-19
