Organization Assessment Print

Dr Edwards Deming explained the system of profound knowledge and taught us the implication of focusing on business without consideration for the quality of our product or service.  The Iowa Quality Center takes a customer centric approach that follows the teachings of Dr. Deming.  Through the theory of profound knowledge we teach and understand that:

  • Customers are the reason that our organization exists
  • Systems are interrelated parts that serve to meet the needs of the customer
  • All systems contain processes that exhibit variation when measured
  • A proactive approach to improvement requires knowledge based on the PDSA cycle of improvement¬†
